Cameron Diaz, the youngest of four siblings, was born in San Diego and raised in Long Beach, California. At age 16, she was signed with Elite as a model, and landed gigs with Calvin Klein, Seventeen Magazine, and Levi's, among others. At age 21, an agent at Elite recommended Cameron to a movie producer looking for a main actress. After being cast, she began taking acting lessons. The movie was "The Mask," one of the highest grossing films of 1994. She has since appeared in "My Best Friend's Wedding," "There's Something About Mary," "Being John Malkovich," "Charlie's Angels," "Shrek," "Vanilla Sky," "The Gangs of New York," "My Sister's Keeper," "Bad Teacher," and "What to Expect When You're Expecting."
